Basically, all the old articles have been moved to a new Archive page where you can easily search and comment on them. The Search page enables searching all areas of the site in addition to many other woodworking sites.
Are the forum, marketplace, and gallery sections linked to a single user account?
No, they operate on distinct software platforms, each having its own registration system. While it may be feasible to integrate these systems, doing so often results in increased confusion and issues. The current perspective is that it’s preferable to maintain separate accounts for each section, allowing users to decide which areas they wish to access as registered members.
Cannot post in the forums: “The username you entered is not unique.”
The username you’ve chosen is linked to a registered account. If you previously used this username on the old message boards, you’ll need to activate your account on the new discussion boards by resetting the passphrase.
