Historically, we have not had a lot of official rules at WoodCentral, yet our forum has always been very civil. We abide by the generally-accepted, largely-unspoken rules of respect, courtesy and common sense that guide all communities, real or virtual. When in doubt, treat others as you would have them treat you. We do ask, though, that you refrain from discussing religion or politics, and we never allow
- Spam in any form.
- Off-color posts, dirty jokes or swearing. Please refrain from saying anything you wouldn’t say in polite company or in front of your children.
- “Flaming” or personal attacks on others. Healthy debate and respectful disagreement are welcome; name-calling, bickering and back-biting are not.

By using this website, you acknowledge and agree that all content posted by users, including but not limited to text, images, videos, and audio files (collectively referred to as “User Content”), is the sole responsibility of the person who originated such content. WoodCental does not control, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, integrity, or quality of User Content.
2. No Liability
WoodCental, its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any User Content or for any loss or damage resulting from your reliance on User Content. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY FOR USER CONTENT.
3. Content Monitoring
While we reserve the right to monitor, edit, or remove User Content at our discretion, we are under no obligation to do so. We do not actively monitor or moderate User Content and cannot guarantee the prompt removal of objectionable material.
4. Intellectual Property
You own the content you post on WoodCentral.
By posting, you give WoodCentral a permanent, worldwide license to use, display, store, and adapt your content as needed to run and improve the site. This license continues even if you delete your account.
Deleting your account does not remove your public posts, because removing them would break the flow of discussions. If you delete specific posts, we’ll try to remove them, but some content may stay online to preserve conversation history or for legal or backup purposes.
We may share your content with trusted service providers (like hosting or caching services) so the site can function, but we won’t sell it or use it outside WoodCentral.
Your content will always be shown under your username. We will never claim your work as our own; this clause simply means we’re not required to add extra author credits beyond your normal username display unless the law requires it.
If WoodCentral is ever sold, this license transfers to the new owner so the site can continue operating normally.
5. Prohibited Content
Users are prohibited from posting content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, threatening, infringing on intellectual property rights, invasive of privacy, or otherwise objectionable. We reserve the right to remove such content without notice.
If you are an individual with something to sell, feel free to post it in the WoodCentral Marketplace. You can also make a brief post on the appropriate forum pointing to the listing in the Marketplace. If you’re a business and would like to advertise on WoodCentral, please send an e-mail to [email protected] or call toll-free 1-877-933-4637 during business hours.
Unsolicited commercial messages and links are not permitted on our forums and will be removed at the moderator’s sole discretion and earliest opportunity. You may post a link to your commercial website and/or mention your commercial product or service in a message only if it is an appropriate and relevant response to a question posted on the forum by someone else.
You may post a link to your non-commercial website anytime. Non-commercial sites are those that do not offer products or services. Exception: woodworking projects for sale to other visitors.
6. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WoodCental, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the website or your violation of this disclaimer.
7. Changes to Disclaimer
We reserve the right to modify this disclaimer at any time without notice. Your continued use of the website after any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified disclaimer. By using WoodCental, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this disclaimer. If you do not agree with any part of this disclaimer, please do not use our website.
