Years ago, we adopted the “Recurring Donations” system, a clever service from PayPal that lets you automatically and painlessly send WoodCentral small donations at regular intervals until further notice. You can opt in or out anytime, so there’s never any risk.
To cancel a recurring PayPal donation, follow these steps:
- Log in to your PayPal account
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Click on “Payments”
- Select “Automatic payments”
- Choose the specific merchant/organization
- Click “Cancel” for the recurring donation
Alternative method using PayPal website:
- Go to Settings
- Click Payments
- Select Automatic payments
- Select the merchant
- Cancel the automatic payment
If using the PayPal mobile app:
- Tap Wallet
- Tap Manage AutoPay
- Select the merchant
- Choose to cancel the subscription
Important Notes:
- You can cancel a subscription up until the day of the next scheduled payment
- Cancelling will stop all future scheduled payments for that subscription
- If you’re having trouble, you may need to contact the specific merchant or PayPal support
Donors should note that recurring donations made through PayPal typically must be managed directly from the PayPal account, not through the donation platform itself.
