A little music to listen to while swinging that ax. Is the stump an effigy?

My MFT bench would be my choice.  But I also built out my battery tools last year and for the outdoors, a pole saw, very cheap weed whacker that actually works, and a battery chain saw that is great with the small stuff are close.  An honorable mention would be my a battery leaf blower.  Shortly after I bought it I realized how how many shops also have one in the frame, as they are really useful for showing a lot of dust the door.

@roger lance,

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TAYLOR SWIFT UNVEILS HER LATEST ALBUM "NAIL ME IF YOU CAN" – AN ODE TO WOODWORKERS EVERYWHERE

NASHVILLE, TN – May 2, 2024 – Brace yourselves, woodworkers and Swifties alike! The queen of pop has done it again, but this time with a twist that will leave you chuckling as you hum along to the beat of your table saw. Taylor Swift, the iconic singer-songwriter known for her chart-topping hits and surprise drops, has announced her newest musical venture: an album tailored specifically for the woodworking community, aptly titled "Nail Me If You Can."

In a move that's sure to leave fans and sawdust enthusiasts alike scratching their heads (and possibly reaching for the nearest hammer), Swift has traded in her glittery dresses for a pair of steel-toed boots and a flannel shirt as she embraces the world of woodworking with open arms – and catchy tunes.

"I've always admired the craftsmanship and dedication that goes into woodworking," Swift remarked during a recent press conference. "And what better way to show my appreciation than by serenading the hardworking folks in the sawdust-covered trenches with some tunes crafted just for them?"

The album, set to release on June 1st, features a collection of tracks inspired by the trials and tribulations of woodworking life. From the heartwarming ballad "Sanded Dreams" to the upbeat anthem "Chisel Chaser," each song promises to resonate with anyone who's ever found themselves knee-deep in wood shavings and determination.

But perhaps the crown jewel of the album is the titular track, "Nail Me If You Can," a playful homage to the trials and tribulations of woodworking mishaps. With lyrics like "I'm as stubborn as a hardwood oak, won't be hammered down by any bloke," Swift's signature charm shines through as she embraces the metaphorical rollercoaster of life in the workshop.

In addition to the album, Swift has also announced plans for a nationwide tour, where she'll be performing live concerts at woodworking conventions, lumberyards, and even the occasional hardware store. Fans can expect an immersive experience complete with power tool percussion and maybe even a surprise guest appearance by a well-known woodworker or two.

So, whether you're a seasoned carpenter or just someone who appreciates a good pun, mark your calendars and get ready to groove along to Taylor Swift's "Nail Me If You Can" – because this album is sure to nail it in more ways than one.

@roger lance,

My favorite tool for removing a stump was a 1980 Subaru, although it never ran quite the same. :)

Well, it is wood-related.

After suffering extreme shoulder and hand pain using hand pruners, I bought a pair of these a couple years ago. I was apprehensive about their capability and ruggedness. But, after using them a lot for a couple years, they are still going strong. I do still have occasional chills thinking about what could happen when I get my off hand a little too close when using them. I'm not sure mine are the same brand name but they look the same.

Hello!
My favorite spring tool for outdoor woodworking is a reciprocating saw and a lawn mower and hedge trimmer. I have my own garden plot and there is a lot of work.
I bought most of my tools from globy.com. in general there are never too many tools, I still need to buy some, I’m planning to buy a chainsaw
