My dad was a home builder of the old school who was knowledgeable in many aspects of building. I worked with him while growing up...weekends and summers...and I developed an interest in working with wood to make things including furniture. Many years ago, I use to watch This Old House and then The New Yankee Workshop and since I had a room in the basement of my house that was suitable for a shop, I was inspired by Norm to outfit that shop and start making things for the house.
