Hi All,
What have I been up to lately....making Tea Caddy boxes!
My British wife suggested to me that she needed something to hold tea bags on the counter top.....and I have been trying to make one ever since she likes!

What species did you use?
Is exterior finished, but interior left unfinished? All parts finished? If so, what did you use?

The wood is a piece of spalted maple, resawn to get the grain wrap effect. I lined the inside with zebra wood and used walnut for the top, Spanish cedar for the bottom. I finished the outside only using two coats of Tried and True Danish oil.

Nice, Jim. Good to see you. I like the way the maple grain wraps around the outside of the box.
We should try to find your many posts from the past. Maybe Peter can work his magic and find the old names you may have used back then.

I use to go by the name.....Derek Cohen......then, that Aussie showed up and my skills were not what they should be......so, I reverted to the name I use now.......
