John Jordan woodturner, RIP

Sadly, the "other" John Jordan woodturner, the famous one in the woodturning community, lost his serious health battle today.

73 years old, to the day.

Many of us will never forget him.

Very sorry to hear this.......

I'm not a turner......just a wanna-be flat worker who would occasionally post here......but, I did read many turning threads and was aware of him and you and how really good you guys are as turners......he was top notch......I enjoyed what he made and what he said......I'll miss him......

I am greatly saddened. I once purchased a video from him at a woodworking show on hollow turning. I called him later saying, "John, your video is perfect, it has no flaws." He said, 'I don't understand." I said, "Yes, it's blank!" He immediately sent me a new one. He is one of the greats.

Damn!

John was a friend, and I've been hopeful that he was going to pull through. What a terrible loss.
