If your hollowing bowls with it tilted in that direction you are going against the grain. Well I should say that it would be incorrect for an side grain bowl. If it's an end grain and your turning from the center out that would be the correct angle and should cut cleanly. If it's a side grain bowl you should be cutting from the outside in and that would be the wrong angle on that cutter. It would need to be tilted about 45 degrees to the right for hollowing a side grain bowl.
