Stewart Batty Vortex tool *LINK*

A friend loaned me this tool to play with. I'm not sure what to do with it. Do you rub the bevel. It is ground completely round and then cut in half as far as it appears so the bevel is like half of a sharpened pencil. The point is almost too Acute and makes more a line than a V cut. To make a V you have to cut in from both sides which is fine but it's really tricky because that point is so small. I appreciate any suggestions. If I have time tomorrow I'm going to try to do some bevel rubbing cuts. Absolutely beautiful tool and the handle is incredible. I drooled over some SB tools at one of the symposiums but just couldn't justify the expense. Looking forward to playing with this one even though it's not one I would pick if I was buying.
