Since you have already done it, and will report on it soon, may I assume that it will not be a success in terms of retaining color? Maybe this is a "rhetorical" experiment? ;-) ...GG

Bill, I'll be looking forward to your results. I use dye on all my pieces. Mostly TransTint based on what I've read, but info is scarce. Thanks for taking the time to do the testing - Dave
