>I picked up a $49 pair from Home Depot. I'm very impressed with their fm reception in my basement workshop. I use them primarily when I'm sanding or any other time the shop vac is on. They do muffle the sound and help me hear NPR news or music. And like you describe, Barry, I'm loaded with head gear, too, along with a nylon shell turtleneck jacket from the Salvation Army store and an old rubberized darkroom apron.
