>Bob,
I am familar with Lloyd, and his programs, I have been lucky enough that Lloyd has had me be a beta tester changes to WTP and 3DP, and I was a beta tester through out the testing of Lam Pro. But I confess, that I have no special skills or knowledge on the second and third generation laminations, because I am at the same stage you are - I have pieces laying all around my shop.
Until right now, I have only worked with 1st generation laminations. Simple zig-zags. The piece here isn't really a first generation lamination. To get to it, you would, for the sake of this discussion, laminate a 1/2" Maple strip to a 1/4" Cocobolo strip. Then cut the segments out - 1/4" short of their required length for a given diameter. Lay them on a table with every other one with the Cocobolo side up - Cocobolo, Maple, Cocobolo, Maple,Cocobolo, Maple, etc. Now insert 1/4" pieces of Cocobolo inbetween each segment, and glue it up.
