Here are a few.  Roger, you might recognize the marking gauge. The marking knife blade on the right is part of “the shiv” project from the OldTools group many years ago, blade by Hock.

It's called 'thrift' ... until you must dispose of it in a move.

I have material marked for projects from the 90s that I don't have time or the right tools to work on. Some projects have been repurposed. I would go crazy without something to look forward to.

Bruce.....like your marking knife on the left, I made a couple of similar knives.....used some blades from Pfeil.....that was a good project.....got some time on the lathe and learned a little about making handles......

I really like this little rebate plane, it has a 1/2" cutter from a lathe in it, near impossible to dull.  Useful making the dovetail plane.

 Plane blades. A piece of metal shaped to one of those draw borers that were fashionable at one time.

These are all old projects, recently I have made quite a few small things for woodworking on the 3D printer.  I have been at woodworking for around 50 + years now, so I have all my stuff at this point, like a lot of us.  I have some young cousins who want to learn stuff, so I may end up making some tools for them, or at least setting them up with kits.

 

Speaking of the printer.  My cousins do not have one, or virtually anything for woodworking, quite yet.  I told them sharpening is job one, and one looks at the hundreds of dollars one can spend just on sharpening jigs.  But they all have access to printers, and can print sharpening jigs for pennies.  There is even one (no idea if it is good) that you can print that is specifically for Japanese tools, at least it holds a 70mm blade that a lot of the jigs don't.  One of these guys spent a decade in Japan, so he has some interest in their vibe.
