I shot myself in the foot (long and kind of OT)

>You probably know that I covet the new Veritas BU jointer. When the LV catalog showed up two weeks ago, I asked my SWMBO if I could have the jointer as an early Christmas gift to take advantage of the free fence, she said it that made me happy, go ahead.
So I prepared a LV shopping list, adding some small items "when I was at it." They are all in my shopping cart at LV web site.
Then the weekend before last, when at Costco, we checked out the Roland electronic piano on display there. My wife since being a small girl has always wanted to own a good piano. She is currently using a small keyboard, many times frustrated because "it doesn't feel like a piano." Just by the way she asked the saleslady about the piano, I could see that she'd found "the right one."
In addition, my son is also interested in learning an instrument (I'm trying to teach him classical guitar but we just can't commit to a schedule). Having a piano will stimulate his interest and will help him to relax during breaks (he's homeschooled).
So last weekend, in anticipation of a bonus from my company, I parted with a chunk of changes for what I call "the Powermatic 2000 of electronic piano" - a Roland KR-107.
Needless to say, my SWMBO and my son are really excited at the new toy. My SWMBO's initial concern about the financial aspect of it faded after the first 30 minutes she spent on the piano.
To make sure my son to understand that the piano is not just a toy, I told him that in buying the piano, we had to give up other things. Among them are high-priced Christmas gifts. The limit is now $5/gift.
Now I'm stuck. I already reserved the money for the BU jointer, but I just can't place the order. And time for the free fence is running out on me!
What a (big-mouth) guy to do?
