This LN#3 Has to go back

>This bronze LN#3 has to go back!
I was in my usual state of health minding my own business when I decided to tune up my new bronze LN#3 including J&J paste wax. I am not trained in plane craft by any means. Here are the problems I found unacceptable, if not shocking.
1. rt "straight" (vertical side) is 3/32 thick and the lt "straight" is 1/8 inch thick. This is quite noticable to my untrained eyes. 2. Rt side IS NOT plumb and square to sole using the precise Veritas mini square which cost me a $35 but well worth it. The Left side is OK (flat and sq to the sole). 3. Finally, That part of the Y yoke that sticks into the plane iron so you can advance it and retract is is NOT midline on the plane as viewed from above. If fact it is not a little off but markedly off.
Am I right to be surprised at 3 "defects" for a $300 plane?. Is this a problem with bronze plane or am I just picky. I think that I should insist that it has got to be absolutely 90 degrees to the sole. I would probably live with the other stuff... Please advise..
