And there lies the crux. Should people reading a hand tools forum be exposed to it? Even if they may not want to be? If someone browsing the classifieds section of the forums finds something they consider interesting, or a good deal, does that mean that they should come up here and post a link to it in the hand tools forum?

Look, a bct plane is in the classified forums. I know nothing about bct's but it may be a good deal, go check it out:

I would like to think that something like that wouldn't be allowed. Since if someone wants to see whats in the classified section, they'll just go to the classified section. In my opinion, it should be the same with ebay. If I want to see what's on ebay, I'll go to ebay. Not the hand tools forum at woodcentral.

Again, just my opinion. One I probably should have just kept to myself.

I've been posting on Woodcentral for, I'd guess, 6-7 years and have found this to be a very civil and well run forum. I also posted on Badger Pond which was also a civil forum but managed with more "rules". I did not like that but it was certainly a workable system.

Rules amount to censorship. A certain amount is needed. Let's keep it to a minimum.

I don't have a problem with you bringing up your concerns, questions or desires either, but I think

you have been answered and there really isn't a problem, so lets just move on. Thanks.
