While we are on the subject of powered planes, I will offer the following philosophical dissertation. If you are a mugwump, you might want to consider the following, which just might push you off that fence separating your recreational woodworking from your professional engineering.

My parents have this collection of ancient stuff- among it a Taylorcraft- which my mother flies in the same way she drives the apartment garbage wagon- nose to the windscreen and fumbling for her glasses. And it's not OT- it's a wooden prop in need of varnish, and has to be hand swung.
