>Howdy Bill,

If I want to use the plane, I'm going to have to replace or at least modify the tote. But it's not like I'm hurting for jack planes to use so I'm in no hurry to make any changes; although I'm pretty sure I'll get 'roundtuit some day. I'm exploring using woodies and, if my experiences continue favorably, I'll be getting rid of the Stanleys/Sargents/MFs; well, at least the dozen or so redundant ones. :-)

Cheers,

Mike

I did some quick Googling. A teacher in Pennsylvania in 1922 would have earned about $24 per week, for instance. If you correct for inflation, that would be about $233 today. But in actuality, they make $933.

I just double-checked, with another source. The second source had PA teacher salaries at $928 weekly.
