JCC Folkschool work week project
Mark and I built a workbench out of SYP. The ends are cherry and the outer vise plate is soft maple. I bought an end vise from Rockler.

JL......congratulations!!......good looking bench......in the woodworking world, it's a rite of passage building your own bench.......it's a real accomplishment......

LOL - not my bench. We built it for the Woodworking studio at the Folkschool. The old bench (assembly table) was (in the words of my wife) - “saddie”. The old one was at least 30 - if not more.

Nice bench. I was looking at the collection of miter gages in the background trying to figure out why the the 4" x 6" piece of wood was fastened to the slot bar. Then it hit me...It is the storage holder fastened to the plywood. Duh...
