Hydrocote Resisthane
Joe shelton
Just ordered a quart of this inspite of the intended use as a spray. Highland says I can brush it using "...a good quality foam brush...", and by not working the application too much. Oddly, their website didn't seem to offer good quality foam applicators. Can I trust local sources?
I'd sure like to hear some advice. The project at hand is from a serendipitous find in sweet gum. When I sawed slabs out of it, there was extensive spalting that I want to retain in a finished piece.
I've carved a very shallow bowl, more a tray really, working with axe, then adze then scorp, travisher and planes. So far, the result looks appealing to me, and I like to feel the transitions, arrises and slight tool marks. I almost want to leave it without a finish.
