I had a 1972 99 when I was a lot younger. My dad was an old Jeep driver and used to say "he who own Jeep will know frustration". I knew a lot of frustration thanks to that Saab
It was a fun car when it ran, but you really need to be a kid with more time than money, and an interest in turning wrenches to own something like that.
One cool thing though, our high school had a split lunch period due to more kids than the cafeteria could hold. Friends in one lunch period would often play tricks on friends in the other - like break into their horrible old cars, stick it in neutral and push it onto the lawn near the principles office. Easy when it was a VW fastback or something, get a couple burly guys and you could lift the whole front to get around an obstacle. Try it with a heavy Saab though
