>My typical way is my mortiser and dado blade cut tennons. I also have a flexible, but complex, router mortising jig I made from a shopnotes plan. The downside to it is max depth is limited based on your router bit selection. But, now that I have a couple x-long bits, it works well for floating tennons when the need/desire arises.
