I am a sculptor and since 2004 or so furniture has been my medium. My woodworking training is as a patternmaker with a nice balance between power tools and hand tools. Back in 1994 I bought a used 90cc chainsaw with 42” bar and an Alaskan mill attachment and since then I have been milling almost all the wood I use. About half the work I do is commission and most of my designs are one off or done in pairs. I also do mixed media sculpture and lately some of the other materials I use have been spilling over into my furniture.
