Having grown up learning how to use basic tools from my father and grandfather, it seemed like a natural fit when I got the "woodworking bug" a number of years ago. Now it seems like an addiction. I get rather cranky when too much time goes by without getting into the shop to create something out of wood. I am a "flatlander", although I can often be found lurking on the Turning board, appreciating what those folks accomplish on spinny machines. There are many power tools in my shop, but no lathe. I also enjoy working with hand tools and am trying to refine those skills and add to my hand tool collection.
