http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/kevin.stanbary Hi, thanks for looking! As of this writing (03/07/10) I'm 41 years old and living in the Chicago area. I've been woodworking off and on since Jr. High school and have always found it enjoyable. Way back when I first started in a woodshop class, I turned a spindle lamp out of an ash baseball bat blank. Since then, I've had the chance to play on a lathe a time or two and always enjoyed it, so last month I took this years Tax Refund and bought a Jet 1220VS. Been doing a lot of reading and lurking on this forum (as well as a few others) and thought I should formally register and make it official! By trade I'm an electronics engineer which has allowed me a lot of opportunity to learn CAD packages, which I've found helpful in woodworking projects as well as work. My other time consuming habit is old cars - I've been 'restoring' a '65 Mustang for about 25 years now. Sometimes I think I'd get more accomplished with some of my hobbies if I'd just limit myself to a few, but I enjoy them all.
