Most of my day time is taken by my own company where I design, manufacture and install Automatic Gates, Access Control Systems and CCTV systems. After a week of dealing with "hard" materials like steel and electronics, I like to relax by working with wood. For some of my fellow engineers timber is a frustrating material that unlike steel cannot be forced into a shape. For me that is the attraction. I feel blessed that in Auckland we have some of the world's best turners available for advice and inspiration. In order to progress my Turnings I am a member of the North Shore Woodturners Guild (NSWG), The National Association of Woodworkers NZ Inc (NAW) and the American Woodturners Association (AAW)
