I was born in Waynesboro Pa. in 1945. I moved to East Windsor NJ in 1967 to attend graduate school at Princeton. I spent my entire career as a Pharmaceutical Chemist at Bristol-Myers Squibb. About seven years ago I retired and my second life began. I was able to devote much more time to woodworking (flat work),traveling around the world, enjoying all of the wonderful experiences in New York City (art museums, Broadway and Off-Broadway shows,etc.).  My wife Jeanne and I have been married since 1967 but we started dating in 1960. We have one son Jay who is a contemporary sculptor. He lives in Minneapolis (way too cold for me) with his wife Jennifer and son Claude. He is represented by galleries in Minneapolis, New York City, Spain and Rome Italy.  I love country music. It's always playing in my work shop. I expanded my workshop in 2010 by adding an addition (approx 1000 sq. ft) to our home.  I also started wood turning in January 2011 which has become somewhat of an addiction but I still love flatwork using exotic hardwoods  I hate winters, cold weather, snow, sleet and ice. Winters are much better enjoyed in the Caribbean.
