I live in Murfreesboro Tennessee. Just south of Nashville. We have lived here for 25 years originally from Mississippi. If anyone remembers the Gene Hackman movie "Mississippi Burning", well thats our area. Remember those days very well. I am 57 years old. Married 38 years, three daughters, five grandkids - one of which is eight years old and has cerebral palsy and lives with us. Spent 15 years in the Air Force then into construction engineering. Lost my brother in '67 in Vietnam. Grandfather and father were cabinet makers. Saw dust in the blood. Been woodworking for about 20 years last of which was mostly turning. Was cleaning our gutters in 2009 and had a stroke and fell 16 feet to our concrete driveway. Miracle I survived the fall much less the stroke. Nearly two years of rehab and now trying to start all over again. Unemployed so decision was made for me to stay home and be caretaker of our special needs grandson Christian. Have acquired a few pieces of equipment as nearly all of my shop tools were sold to help pay my medical bills. The whole situation turned our lives upside down but we are pulling through it. Look forward to making some new friends here and hope to contribute as well.
