Re: 33 Challenges - I’m stuck on 4.

When I get to that point (which happens often) I go to Wordplay for a hint or two.

WAG it was divided like we are. ;)

See - this is what is stuck in the back of my mind: I have what I believe is an answer that solves #30. But how do I know? I guess anything that fits is acceptable as long as it physically exists at this spot in the time-space continuum?

But is there a correct answer - the "intended" answer - different than mine?

And then, what about answers in parallel universes?

I'm pretty sure 16 & 30 are in the same country ...

16 and 30

Alex Y

Yes, they are in the same counry. Be interested in Kent's alternative here, though -- may well be more than one "right" answer.

Your hint doesn't do much for me. The only pronouns I can think of that might fit are She and maybe Us, and I can't make much sense of either.

And I am still stuck on 20. I can think of a possible avian solution and a possible musical solution to '8 T on a O', but both are a bit of a stretch, and both require changing the 'a' to 'an'. That seems likely to be OK in front of a word that starts with O.

If #5 is related to 9 & 22, I have that one too. Five more to go ...

Yup.

Should I be suspicious of 19?

Yes!

Yes, it should read "an" rather than "a"

Then I'm down to 3. 1,7,28. 28 is religious?

Meant to reply to your other comment here. in 19, the pronoun is not a common pronoun, but a common word used in this case as a pronoun.

Ya know, I could be annoyed about that dropped "n", except I'd assumed that, and I still ain't got any nearer to the full rodeo...........

Ed has identified 1, 7, and 28 as ones he hasn't gotten.

Larry and Kent, why don't each of you list your unsolved ones and then the three of you can fish for clues from each other.

If I have been following this correctly, I think that as a team you have solved all of them, which is VERY impressive!

I have #1.

Not 7, not 28, and not 5-6 others.

Might be of some help to Larry, but I'm clearly in deep last place here.

Which ones are you out on. IIRC you don't have #20. The 8 relates to the O. ;)

I am still shrinking out on 19. On 20 I think the O must refer to an Octagon or Octave. I did think of an avian solution - 8 Toes (Talons) on an Owl, but assume that is not correct.

If you are still stuck on 1, it will help if you remember your ‘a,b,c’s.

And on 28, Ancestry.com can help.

i asked Alex to confirm #19 on 11/4/2019, 8:51 pm.

#20, there was a Bond film ...

Thanks for #1. Brain was stuck on leagues.

Anyone get #7?

Two to go.

Larry, your solution for #20 is perfectly acceptable, and similar to the one suggested as "right". Think aquatic rather than avian.

'Should I be suspicious of 19' made me think that 13=UFS must be
