Friday Puzzler -- What NFL team?

Andy and Mary, who live in the bay area, left home one Sunday morning and drove 20 miles west to go to a 49ers game. After the game, they drove 120 miles east to their favorite seafood restaurant, where they had dinner overlooking the ocean. Who were the 49ers playing?

but you have the right idea. If I know the game you are talking about, it was at night, but I'll allow that they may have gone in the afternoon to get good parking. It would be hard to drive 120 miles east to the seafood restaurant, though.

How about the team they lost to, 30-27, but won the year before that 16-10.

You've obviously sussed that this was an away game, and the ocean they were looking at was not the Pacific!
I think your guesses have been Patriots and Giants. I don't know where their bay area home was if they drove 20 miles to a Giants game. And is the ocean 120 miles east of their stadium?
Not the opponent I had in mind. When you refer to one member of the team I was thinking of, someone might think you were talking about the price of corn.

The 49ers lost that game 33-14.
Foxborough stadium to Provincetown is 115 miles.
Meadowlands stadium to Montauk Point is 125 miles.

I wasn't aware enough of the geography of that area.
I was thinking of the Tampa Bay area (Tampa, St Petersburg, Clearwater) and a drive across Florida to the Atlantic. Buccaneers.
