What is the most money you can have in US coins, but still be unable to make change for a dollar? Stick to coins currently in circulation, excluding Susan B Anthony $ or gold coins that might technically still be legal tender.

I think that "Stick to coins currently in circulation" means half dollars (although I haven't seen any for quite awhile), quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies.

So how about 3 quarters, 4 dimes, 4 pennies = $1.19.
