Friday puzzler -- Double Features

For each of the six Double Features below, we've taken two films and combined both their plots and their titles. Can you figure out the new title based on the twisted plot summary?

1. After being double-crossed by his partner, Mel Gibson... time-travels to 1955 to make sure his parents meet and fall in love. (4 words)

2. Spencer Tracy reluctantly plans... Maya Rudolph's pre-wedding festivities. (4 words)

3. A bunch of animated rabbits try to find... a submarine run by Kelsey Grammar and his wacky crew. (3 words)

4. Ben Stiller leads a group of misfits... to spy on his neighbor, kidnap a pizza delivery guy, pick up the garbage, and solve a murder. (4 words)

5. Alcoholic womanizer Tom Hanks... is sold to the cavalry and has adventures in Europe. (4 words)

6. Christian Slater is an armored truck guard who... is an excellent driver and just wants to get home in time to watch Judge Wapner. (3 words)

  Not the answer given

But not a bad alternative answer, at least for the first one.

Hint to #4

Alex Y

The "bridge word" connecting the two titles is "Men"

And I would say that both of these are very forgettable movies -- I've never seen them, and if I have heard of them, I have forgotten. ;)
