Nail Polish

Artificial Vanilla Flavoring

and Chewing Gum

All those items are forms of tree resins but I doubt that is what you are looking for. I'd have to google chemical families

You are in the general ballpark. I seek the general term for all those as well as many others. The singular form of the word I seek has 13 letters.

On the radio show "Car Talk' they hsve s segment called "Stump the Chumps". But that is about car problems.

I had to do some looking to find the answer I gave. It also has 13 letters in the singular and fits all of the items in the question ;-)
