Thursday Tree Trivia

Dale Lenz

Well at 0830, temps were -15F, not sure what the low was, but the coldest I've seen in my 58 years life time for OK. Good news, all utilities are working, firewood pile is getting low. Predicted high next week of near 70!

Onward to the trivia question.

One who saws felled trees into required lengths, such as logs, bolts, or sticks is called?

I might be a hack at trivia, but let me straighten my tie so I can at least look like I know what I'm doing.

In my neck of the woods...

Add an "er" to the end of the oprative word, and you would find the answer in the motto for the Pendlton Round-up

My answer is.....

Thomas Skaggs, Foothills of Mount Level

in reverse order but in correct order rhymes with a pin one would use for his cravat.

Tie Hacks

Thomas Skaggs, Foothills of Mount Level

Tie Hacks were guys that cross cut timbers to length. Mostly for RR ties. Perhaps I was too specific.
