Lost most of my message from early. Let's see: SG < 0.4, my book inform many years ago said, not worth having, as in brash. Paneled a walk through door 15 years ago, work great! Tree is non-native to US, but has become naturalized from the East coast to at least OK. Not sweetgum, Tommy, try again(?).

Not the Royal Paulomia(SP?). The Princess tree has a large simple leaf, the tree, with the wood I'm looking for has a compound leaf. This tree is common to grow in parking-lot cracks and such, can actually make an ugle vacant building lot havenly.

Surely, someone can jump on this one, :").

Tree of Heaven it is. Went to a logging site to purchase some maple, which I did. Logger ask me what "this tree was" scratch me head as I'd never seen a ToH in the woods at that time. Told the logger, with a Woodmizer I'd take a 100 bd.ft. sample. Ran home check the book, said the wood was junk, oh well, I thought. Years later got around to working it, worked good for me. Goes to show you, can't always believe everything you read!
