Thomas Skaggs, Foothills of Mount Level
This woodworking business was started in 1933 for the sum of $1,125. Located in central Missouri they started out making storage "units" for flour and salt out of a wood that was native to that area. They later switched their product line to something else and are now the world's largest producers of these. What are they?

I've driven by the place often enough. It is easily visible from I-44 at the Lebanon exit, about half-way between Rolla and Springfield. While I've not toured the factory, the place is impressive for its size, with a huge yard of rick after rick of white oak billets awaiting processing into barrels.
