Let's see, the wood makes for good turnings and golf club heads, and the tree is the only one of its family in North America. As for what you look for, you look for the same things you find on a properly set dinner table.

John was first with the species, persimmon and Fred finished it off with the spoon, knife and fork. Was marking walnut trees for a sale all day, drove past a female persimmon tree and it was loaded with fruit, reminded me of the trivia today, :").

For extra credit tell me what the winter weather is going to be like if you fine one of the three shapes in the persimmon seed.

My folklore info says:

Knife: cold & windy, cuts through you like a knife

Fork: Dry snow

Spoon: simular to a shovel to scoop wet heavy snow
