anyone still wants to reply, hints. Classic American style. Often a starter home. Famous in New York, Philadelphia and New Jersey. Easy to build most house for the least amount of money, in the shortest amount of time. At one time after WWII on one day 1400 contracts were drawn up. The original plans stemmed from cabins of the 16th century and largely outgrown and forgotten until the 1920's when the word "modern" was added in the revival of the style. Since the 1990's when the lot land was available, this style has added "wings" which makes it look like old colonial farms where the building was added to with each generation.

The style is a Cape. The offshoot of an early cabin. The design was restyled in the 1920's and made famous in the late 1940's and 50's by the building of the Levittowns. Today a modified Cape is a favorite of empty nesters and holds a special place in the memory of couples.
