Ok...so there is this really long wooden thing that was first built in 1829. How long is it? Well, it's the longest of its kind in the world, measuring 1.341 miles. It's such a big deal that a depiction of it is on the coat of arms of it's point of origin. A bowling alley was once built on it but burned down during one of the multiple fires that have happened on this thing. What is it?

How to say this without giving it away.....
When I was a kid in Brooklyn, NY, I used to fish off one of these in Coney Island and that was on the south end of Brooklyn. I suppose if I could swim the big pond, I might have met up with this one and i could have gone bowling instead of fishing.
