Sunday puzzle - one for the quiet side

Larry Barrett

In today's Washington Post crossword puzzle the theme is Home Repairs made Simple

Here is the clue for 43 across: Test for a breakfast cook.

And here is what 43 across looks like, with some of the letters filled in:

---b-ate-r-r--l

Can you fill in the missing letters (pay attention to the puzzle theme)?

Atlanta = crossword capital

Alex Y

Hi, Harvey. I'm in East Cobb (Metro Atlanta for those not familiar with the area).

Atlanta must be the crossword capital. That didn't take long, once you had your morning coffee.

This was the first CW puzzle I have seen that had clues WoodCentral denizens would know.

Dunwoody (North Dekalb) here.

I don't do Xwords much these days, but I used to do them every day. Now, I mostly waste my time doing Sudoku.
