The pictured one is made of one piece of wood and likely for the tourist trade. The pictured item has a similar shape similar to a graphical image on the flag of a former country. The country which was a confereration no longer exists on its own but has been incorporated into another. It was however in the 1700s the most powerful confederation in the land, and was so strong it had a standing army of 100,000. Bad governing, unclear lines of succession, foreign intervention, and political neutralization by capturing and selling rivals into slavery, weakened the confederation. Original bloodlines of this group still exist and the population makes up about 15% of the country that absorbed them. They are fiercely loyal to their heritage and the item represented by the image on their flag which they refuse to give up. Their flag representational image is graphically similar to the picture but the original is sacred and not black or dark in color unless it is a reproduction, darkened with blood, for important state ceremonies. Name the country/confederation.
Part two: To my knowledge there are three countries (including the one above) featuring wood on their flag. Trivia part two for today. Name the countries with wood as a feature on their national flag. Do not count laurel wreaths around other graphic elements as part of this answer.
) But did you mean some wooden object other than a tree?
