I am going to answer this esoterically so I don't get sent to the box because I hear it is raining in the box and we have plenty of that here. The 35th president of the United States nickname + the 35th president of the United States Real first name + the only place in our solar system you can go if you like 11000 degrees of heat (in farenheit) and I don't care how you try you will never wrench the answer out of me!

I'd like to thank some of the little people who helped me secure this Golden Uni. First, to my dad and mom thanks for having that twinkle in your eye 50+ years ago. To my brothers and sister, John, Jeannine, Joe, Jeff, Jerry, and Jay thanks for making me eat grass when I said there was no way you could make me do it. To my wife Cheryl, thanks for encouraging my woodworking interests. To my in-laws, who on my first Christmas with them when they were still trying to decide if their daughter was really going to marry this guy, gave my a Ryobi router (still in use). To Charlie at the local woodcraft store for always going the extra mile to find something that I need at a price I can afford. To all the pets I have had in my life, Stoney, George, Belcher, Prissy, Tabby, Bridgette, Pumpkin and various others, thanks for enriching my life so I had the confidence to try for the Golden Uni. To the editors and authors of American Woodturner and Woodturning Design and our mailmen (and women) thank you for continuing to bring American Woodturner and Woodturning Design which continually inspire me. To the people who our insurance people hired to fix everything that got flooded when the sump pump broke so I can get to my shop, thank you for doing such a good job. To the plethora of spiders living in my shop, thank you for keeping down the other more unsavor bugs. To the woodturning gene in my makeup that says its OK to spend thousands of dollars and get a few bowls and tops in return, I thank you. I know that I am forgetting people or entities but I am having trouble seeing my notes through my tears. To all the woodturning teachers I have had at the local woodcraft (Anthony and Bill you know who you are), Bonnie Klein, Bobby Clemons, and John Lucas, I tried to take at least one thing from each of your classes and make it mine (no I didn't steal your hone John, I meant take one idea). To the woodturners in history upon whose accomplishments we all build, thank you. And lastly, and maybe most importantly, to the United States of America, where if some big gallot like me wants to spend his time away from work applying sharpened steel rods to a revolving piece of wood, it's OK with them as long as you pay the appropriate taxes.
