It's been a long week already. Boy could I use a drink! I guess 9:30 am is a tad early though. ;-)
Here goes....Sugar maple is a necessary wood for the making of one specific American whiskey. Which whiskey? And how is the sugar maple used?

Dang, this one got answered faster than thought. But it took a tag-team effort.
Gary is correct that only sugar maple charcoal can be used to filter the other answer (that Alex got) of Tennessee Whiskey.

About a 100 years ago (well really only 35 years) I wasn't much of a whiskey drinker. Cactus juice or beer was more my style. I still miss beer but the NA's fill the void.

I rarely drink whiskey but if I do I find Makers Mark pleasing to the palette. T.
