The 1929 World's Fair was quite something. The German pavilion was designed by a guy in which he included a piece of furniture that would eventually become an iconic form. What was it?

I knew I knew what it is but picked the wrong area for the designer.
He was a Dutchman. It is named after the city the fair was held in.

The designer of the answer was not Dutch. He was native to the country that selected him to design their pavilion. (hint)

I always thought he was Dutch- Mies dosen't sound German to me.
When I worked in an archetectural model shop in the sixties I made 100's of models of the chair when we did an interior model.May even have a photo or two of them. But I can't remember where.
