Huh?  A Hint.....

Either this is not the softball I thought it was or nobody has looked at the question. With the new format I can't tell how many folks opened the question. Oh well....a hint is in order. Since I'll sign off for the day soon I'll check back in the morning...here is the hint....those words, more often than not, appeared on oak.

Humpday Answer

The Golden Uni this week will be shipped to John for knowing that those words were the motto of Gustav Stickley and were part of the stamp that he applied to his work. The motto in English roughly translates to "to the best of my ability".
