Labor Day--Relax
It's a holiday and I'm out of here early in the AM. Either that or I'm going to sleep till mid morning. So since I may rack out here is the trivia.
These are six types of beds. Name them.
Originally (but not todays version) placed lengthways to the wall. This bed has two scrolled ends reminescent of a colonial vehicle.
This is two single beds placed together joined with a cornicesometimes with a people height arch of wood as a decorative effect between the two lower inside corners of the beds. This defines a space between the two beds where a person can walk in order to make up the beds.
This is a bed with neither canopy or posts other than a head and foot board.
This is a bed where a canopy is attached to the wall or it may be part of an extended tall headboard. It does not reach as far as the half way length of a bed. Sometimes it is wood sometimes draped textiles on a open frame.
This bed was a room within a room as all sides were closed in with cabinet doors to be closed at night. It usually was high off the floor and required steps to crawl into the opening.
This is a bed where a second bed fits underneath.
