This is one that I hate to even think about. To me, snow is a 4 letter word in more ways than 1 ;-) Since it will be coming (or in a couple of cases already has) ;-) here is a trivia for you: What is the greatest snowfall in a single 24 hour period in the US (lower 48). Try not to look it up. I will take the first guess within 3". For extra credit, where was it and when.
There was a very large single day snowfall on NY's Tug Hill Plateau a couple of years ago. Can't remember the town but the snow amount was several feet in 24 hrs. Not sure if it is "official" though. That's the real deal snowbelt with massive lake-effect storms.
