Covering for DD
Last week DD posted an interesting link on the main board over shop tips. One of the tips suggested using the bottom of a coke/beer can for mixing small amounts of epoxy. I've been doing this for years, came up with the idea myself as maybe the "owner" of the link did. Took me back to my Cultural Anthropology (sp?) class in college. There is a term when two or more clans of people came up with the same thing about the same time. What is that term?

I'm not familiar with clan speak but there is a legal term, "simultaneous invention". I've also seen "independent invention" but that does not have to occur at the same time--just independent of another person's work.

That's more of an application than an invention. I'd guess that I,ve used every type of disposable container that goes through our kitchen at one time or another to mix epoxy. Can bottoms, yogurt and butter containers and plastic lids of all description. even chunks of cardboard from cereal bottoms. The fact that two different people came up with the idea at the same time , hmmm, co-common sense?
