Friday puzzle -- stacking cubes
This is a visualization challenge.
How many 1x1x1 cubes can you stack on the squares of a 5x5 grid, with the following restrictions?
Each cube is placed directly on or above one of the squares of the grid
No stack of cubes is over three high
Each cube is visible (the cubes themselves and the grid are opaque)

I can see two solutions with 66 cubes. (Not including rotations or mirror images of those)
Multiple choice
I saw this in a multiple choice test, where the answers were 62, 63, 66, 68, and 69. I don't have the answer sheet, so we are on our own.
My first try was 58 :-(
My best try matches Dan's and Bill's. Can anyone top that? If not, maybe one of them will post their solution(s) later this afternoon or evening.
