If my memory is correct this will be my last trivia for Dan. Dan will be back next week so I hope I have not bored you folks, : ' >.

There could be some conflicting answers for today's trivia. Based on my sources who(m) developed sandpaper?

Oh come on John.....

....the Chinese? What about Thomas Edison? Yes, surely he invented sand paper. I think he first used it on his phonographs. But the sound turned out to be too "gravelly".

Are you talking about

actual sandpaper, like the stuff we use today? Or something that does the job of sandpaper? I understand that several cultures used sharkskin to smooth wood.

I believe sandpaper as We know it is a 1915(?) 3M development. As you suggeste: something that does the job of sandpaper.

"Sandpaper" was invented by the Hopi Indians. According to my info. Thanks to all that played.
